Automatic Barelling System
An automatic barreling process system - first used
over thirty years ago and used throughout the chemical
industry for metal treatment ever since - has now been
updated and is being re-launched throughout Europe.
Developed in 1968 by Syd Corbett, the barreling system
- originally named "Barra - Flow" - has now
been renamed "Rota - Flow"
Retaining its original ability to undertake processes
such as pickling, bright dipping, chromating, chemical
blacking and phosphating. In fact any process that needs
agitation to and transfer of components.
The system can include any number of barrels
Redesigned to include hexagonal barrels for improved
component tumbling, other new design features include
easy access for topping up solutions, individual process
tanks. thermostatically controlled forced air drying,
hydraulic barrel rotation and an integral waste gully
for the disposal of waste solutions. If necessary a
filtration unit can also be included to ensure that
washing and rinsing solutions are continuously pumped
and circulated to remove oil residue from the unit's
processing tanks.
The new Rota-Flow metal treatment process is now being
actively marketed throughout the UK and Europe.
